FFI premium screen is the new generation of sand control column researched and manufactured by our company; it has the characteristic of simple in construction, easy in operation, high reliability, high intensity and high permeability.
1. The Structure of FFI premium Screen
FFI premium screen mainly consists of perforated base pipe and filter jacket. The jacket consists of inner shroud, inner drainage mesh, inner mesh media, middle drainage mesh, outer mesh media as well as external stainless steel shroud.
Internal drainage mesh wrapped on the inner shroud, and provides even distribution of flow, it also has the function to support filter media.
Inner/outer mesh media is able to meet the requirements of sand control for all sand with different diameters.
Middle drainage mesh has the function to separate two layers of filter media, ensuring the accuracy of filtering. It also has the role to provide even distribution of flow for the media.
Stainless steel shroud has the role to protect media layers and drainage mesh when going into well or bear the negative pressure.

Model number of COSL mesh screen is made up of product code, screen size, base pipe wall thickness, pore size, steel grade, thread type and filter material, Naming method is as follows:

3. Product Characteristics
1. Multi-layer 316L stainless steel filter media has been adopted, with high reliability and anti-damaging ability in sand control.
2. High permeability, larger area of flow and production rate is high.
3. Small outer diameter, light weight, easy to push along the long horizontal section.
4. Anti- acid and alkaline, anti-high temperature, long life for use.
5. Simple construction, easy for operation, it benefits to lower the construction expense, and raise the rate of success in construction.
6. FFI premium Screen samples deformed to 75% and 40%of original diameter with virtually no increase in sand production.
4. Product Application
FFI premium screen is mainly suitable for barefoot completions especially for oriented well and horizontal well. The particularity of well opening of the horizontal well causes a low rate of success of the traditional gravel packing completion, and of a big risk. Meanwhile, the horizontal well is requested for higher output, the high permeability can be raised by use of Mesh screen, and reduce the rate of blockage, therefore increase the production rate.

6. Feature of FFI screen and principle of filtration
The multi-layer structure has been used; the filter media is made by 316L stainless steel wire by use of special technology. The filtration accuracy and rate of hole-making can be controlled via controlling of wire diameter and us mesh to be used.
a) It’s interwoven by use of 316L stainless steel wire, with high intensity, strong ability to resist breakage.

After put down the CMS screen into the well, once the oil well begin production, the sand particles except the fine sand will gradually collect on the surface of the sand control screen, a natural sand bridge of high void level and high permeability has been formed gradually between bare hole well walls and screen. Due to the existing of the sand bridge, not only play the function of hold the sand, and also release the press of stratum nearby the well openings, the release of stratum press will visibly improve the permeability around the well opening, and therefore enhance the output of the oil well.
